How many times do you find yourself (the older ones amongst us) talking about those radio presenters from back in the day? How difficult is it to try and explain their dynamics in this digital era when all is available when you want to hear it… no tape decks, no analogue restrictions with 90min cassettes and the like. Nowadays you can skip that track you don’t like, but back then you had to LISTEN to the music in real time! This may seem alien now but it still has to be the best way of listening to THE music, where you are prevented from flicking through music like fodder. So what have we decided to do I hear you ask? We have trawled the loft, sifted through the cellar and rummaged through the garage to dig out some radio shows from back when these presenters were larger than life. You will hear the likes of Jez Nelson, Patrick Forge, Bob Jones, Jazzie B, Manneseh, Joey Jay, Paul Jones and Gilles Peterson amongst others, and we will try to explore the whole of the UK as the times pass.
